Our Approach to Equity: Equitable Fees
Our work is rooted in equity, and we apply this lens to our payment and fees as well. We believe that equity is about giving people what they need, in order to make things fair, and want to make sure that our fees reflect those values. As such, we are building a system of trusting each other to pay what we can, grounded in the idea that we can be willing to give and to receive, working together to build a more equitable world.
Ensuring Accessibility
We are committed to ensuring that our programs are financially accessible, for organizations of every size and budget, and individuals along a spectrum of backgrounds and financial experiences. By participating in our equitable pricing structure, you help to ensure that people of all identities and backgrounds can access this learning.
For Organizations
Our equitable fee model is based on organizational budget size, which benefits a wide spectrum of organizational partners by inviting them to share and distribute the benefits of privilege, investing their resources in our collective pursuit of equity. We ask any organization who is able to pay as high on the scale as possible to support funding for smaller budget organizations.
For Individuals
We are committed to ensuring that our programs and coaching are financially accessible. Our advocates and partners are from a wide range of socio-economic backgrounds and financial experiences, and our intention is for participants to contribute to covering costs at a level and in a way that is meaningful, significant and affordable, in partnership with employers. We ask participants to choose a price point that feels feasible with the knowledge that an individual’s selection acknowledges both their own need and the participation of others who request funding in order to participate.
Fee Structure
We typically structure our fees along the following three-part structure:
- BALANCE: This middle price point is what we consider a balanced exchange for the experience, learning, and resources we’re creating. This fee enables us to cover our expenses, and it enables you to participate equitably, receiving the full range of benefit from what you’re contributing.
- SUSTAIN and GROW: If you (and/or your employer) are able to offer more to help keep this work accessible and equitable so that others can participate and we can continue to grow, please choose this price point. Here, you sustain our work and others’ participation without having to ask. This fee enables us to offset the deficits that we incur when expenses do not meet income, or when other participants need support. By sustaining us with an extra contribution, you are making it possible for us to offer support to others, and to meet our bottom line. You help to underwrite the free services we offer and be financially sustainable at the same time.
- SUPPORT: If your participation requires a partial scholarship, please select this price point. This fee means that we are investing in you. When you pay a fee at the Support level, you are asking us to invest our resources in your education, learning and growth, with the expectation that we will do so out of a spirit of generosity and a belief that pay-as-you-are-able is the responsible and most equitable way to work. We do not typically ask you to contribute your time or work to help us meet any additional financial gaps, but we welcome you to help us imagine creatively how you might consider giving back to our community as you benefit from our communal investment.
Please note that fees include all materials and e-access to our resources. Fees for our Gender Equity Advocates Cohort Learning includes lifetime membership in our Network, and may include discounts on future programming.
Please see each individual program page for more information about how our Equitable Fees apply to our work.
